From 1 January 2018, the Fidelity Card valid for one year starting from the date of purchase, is available at a cost of €25, which will allow the holder of the same unlimited entry to the archaeological area of ​​Ostia Antica and free access to temporary exhibitions.

At the moment, there is not a luggage storage service for users.
The land may seem disjointed. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Necropolis of Porto

Timetable: It is open to the public free of charge, on telephone booking, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, before and on the third Sunday of the month, from 10.00 to 16.00.

The Castle of Julius II

Timetable: It is open to the public free of charge, every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The visits are accompanied with departure at 10.15 am; 11:45; 14:00; 15:30 for a maximum number of 20 people at a time (the reservation is made directly on the spot)..

Tickets: Free admission (entry not allowed to pets and animals).

Trajan's Harbor in Fiumicino

Timetable: It is open to the public free of charge on Thursday, the first and third Saturday of each month, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The entrance is on Via Portuense Km. 2360 - Fiumicino.

European Heritage Days September 21-22 from 10 am to 5.30 pm.

From Saturday 28 September the Navigare il Territorio project starts again: every Saturday and Sunday from 28 September to 17 November from 10:00 to 18:00.

Decorated Houses

The decorated homes visited are: House of Diana, Insula of Jupiter and Ganymede, Insula of the Muses, the Yellow Walls and Insula Insula of Ierodule.
The houses are accessible every Sunday morning at 10:30 am by appointment in front of the Museum of the excavations of Ostia Antica, and only when booked in advance which must be carried out exclusively through the following email address: pa-oant.domusostia@beniculturali.it (the reservation will be considered valid only after after confirmation).
Remember that it is not allowed access to homes with large bags, backpacks, pushchairs and umbrellas. It is also not allowed to enter with dogs even on a leash.
The opening service to decorated homes do not incur an extra charge to the price of admission.

Reservation Policies:
You can book for a Sunday of the current month or the next one for up to 10 people.

In the email booking is mandatory:
1. indicate in the subject: "OPEN HOUSES DECORATED THE MORNING (dd / mm / yy)"
2. insert name of each participant (maximum 10 names)
3. Enter the name and surname of the contact person, and its telephone number
The reservation can be considered valid only after receiving specific email confirmation by this administration.

The Museum

the Museum opens at 9.30 am and closes at the same time of the ticket-office. (entry not allowed to pets and animals).
Taking photos is allowed only WITHOUT flash.

THE TICKET IS VALID FOR A SINGLE ENTRY. ONCE YOU ARE OUT, YOU CAN NOT GO IN AGAIN.

Reduced ticket € 2,00
European citizens between 18 and 25 years old (only by showing a valid document to attest the age).

List of nations

In case of exhibitions inside the archaeological site, the ticket price will be increased of € 2,00.

Agreements
with Metrebus pass or a stamped ATAC BIT ticket, the € 2.00 discount on the full ticket and the € 1.00 discount on the reduced ticket is still valid.

Free tickets
under 18 years old, journalists, school groups, disabled people, students and teachers in Archeology, History of Arts, Architecture, Conservation-Restoration of cultural heritage, Academy of Fine Arts, Education Sciences, Travel Guides, Tourist Interpreters (only European Union citizens) and ICOM + ICCROM members (only by showing valid membership card).

You can pay the tickets by Visa, Mastercard and Maestro credit cards.
We join the ROMA PASS circuit.

 


IMPORTANT NOTICE: For people with disabilities and/or mobility impairments, by now there is an alternative path which goes only through half site, ending by the Cafeteria!

 

RULES OF CONDUCT

Inside the archaeological site:
1. soccer and like are forbidden;
2. climbing on the ruins is forbidden;
3. writing on the walls is forbidden;
4. the objects inside the Excavations and the Museum must not be touched;
5. rubbish must be thrown into special bins provided for this use;
6. plants and flowers must be respected, and picking flowers or breaking branches are forbidden.
7. The entrance with pets and animals is allowed with the leash.
8. The entrance by bicycles is NOT allowed.
In cases where there is any noticeable breaches of those rules, the Superintendent will suspend at any time visiting and ward managers and, in severe cases, a complaint will be made to the legal authorities for legal sanctions.
